Challenge
The challenge was creating a production landscape that felt lush and cinematic without overwhelming Lyra's natural vocal presence.
Approach
I built the entire EP around live instrumentation recorded at 432Hz, layering analog synths and real strings to create warmth and space. Every production decision was made in service of the vocal.
Result
The EP received critical acclaim for its cohesion and sonic quality, with multiple publications naming it one of the standout R&B releases of 2024.
Rise Album
A debut album that needed to announce an artist, establish a brand, and deliver 12 consecutive great songs.
Challenge
Debut albums require finding an artist's voice while also making commercially viable music — threading that needle without compromise.
Approach
We spent three months in pre-production alone — writing, demoing, and discarding material until only the most essential songs remained. The production follows the emotional arc of the album.
Result
